Cabin

Our Original Log Cabin is as old as Blackthorn Fishery itself, but has had a significant face-lift and upgrade since it was built in 2011. It may be smaller than our newer luxury Lodges, but has an intimate, cosy feel, and a charm all of its own. Its open plan living area looks out onto the lake and is the ideal place to watch a stunning Blackthorn sunset. The original log cabin has the least amount of water to fish to, but is still a very prolific swim. A south-westerly breeze blows directly into its bay which can make it one of the best pegs in the right conditions. The cabin features a well-equipped kitchen with electric oven, integrated grill, electric hob, fridge with integrated freezer-box, microwave, toaster, kettle and all cutlery/crockery. The bedroom has a king-sized divan bed with 1000 pocket sprung mattress that can be split into two small single beds on request. Sliding doors open from the living room onto a large decked area which runs directly to the water's edge with gravelled fishing pegs either side. Includes lockable container for fishing gear and Mediterranean style stone BBQ grill.
