The lake holds a good head of common and mirror carp to over 40lbs, plus grass carp into double figures. The current lake record stands at an impressive 40lbs. Elliot Lake was created in 2005 from the last two lanes of Match Lake. This small 20-peg water features a central cigar-shaped island and is fully stocked with excellent variety, making it ideal for families with children or anglers wanting consistent action. Banks slope down to a four-foot flat bottom with a one-foot shelf around the island. Recent seasons have seen double figure carp to 18lbs 8oz (mostly commons), decent numbers of tench to just over 6lbs, perch and bream to over 3lbs, and roach to 5lbs. The water also holds lovely crucian carp and crucian crosses running to a good 3lbs, providing specialist interest. The lake fishes well on pole or waggler, though some anglers prefer feeder tactics toward the island. All usual baits work effectively with maggots, sweetcorn, meat baits and soft hooker pellets proving particularly successful over beds of feeder pellets or groundbait. One rod only as per match/pleasure rules with barbless hooks mandatory.

Heron Lake is a stunning 6-peg specimen water featuring three islands. This intimate venue provides quality carp fishing in a beautiful setting, with carp present to 28lbs. The limited number of pegs ensures a peaceful fishing experience without overcrowding. The lake follows the same specimen rules as Pepper and Christine, requiring suitably experienced anglers or juniors under supervision. Two rods maximum, micro barb hooks, and minimum 12lb mainline are mandatory. All fish must be handled with care using appropriate landing nets and unhooking mats. Day tickets are available though advance booking is advisable to ensure availability. The lake offers excellent sport for specimen hunters seeking quality fish in a tranquil environment.

Match Lake is a 30-peg snake-shaped water crammed full of fish, making it an ideal venue for club matches, individual anglers and youngsters. The lake is predominantly stocked with fairly easy to catch carp between 8oz-10lbs along with plenty of roach and rudd between 8oz-1lb, ensuring consistent action throughout the day. With a maximum depth of approximately 4.5 feet and an even bottom, the lake is straightforward to fish. Fishing close to the near or far bank usually pays dividends. Due to the ease of fishing and high stock density, anglers are restricted to one rod or pole at a time. To prevent overfeeding in this heavily stocked water, there is a four pint limit on maggots, meal, sweetcorn, casters or pellets per session, and a one kilo limit on groundbait which can only be used in a pole cup or feeder. Barbless hooks are mandatory as per match/pleasure lake rules.

New Pepper is the extension section of Lake Pepper, completed in 2007. This deeper water features three central islands and comprises swims 9-16. Access is via dedicated car parks to the north of swims 15 and 13, with no swim more than a couple of minutes walk. Both traditional and modern carping techniques work well, though it's always worth checking with the on-site tackle shop for current hotspots and effective tactics. New Pepper is available for exclusive half-lake hire, though bookings exclude the Bailiff's swim which remains reserved for fishery staff use. Advance booking is essential due to high demand.

Old Pepper is the original section of Lake Pepper, excavated starting in 1990 and opened to carp anglers in 2003. This section comprises swims 1-8 and is characterised by mature reed beds and shallower waters compared to the New Pepper extension. A channel runs down the length of the water with depths increasing toward the New Pepper end. The combined Pepper Lake system holds over 200 carp, with approximately 40 fish weighing 30-40lbs and 14 known to be over 40lbs. Access to swims is via dedicated car parks including one to the north-east of swim 2 and south-east of swims 8 & 9. Both traditional and modern carping techniques work effectively. The on-site tackle shop provides current advice on productive areas and successful tactics. Advance booking is essential due to limited availability and high demand.

Best baits include sweetcorn, 6mm meat cubes, and hard or soft hooker pellets fished with method or cage feeders. Pellet waggler fished up in the water proves especially effective later in the season when temperatures drop. One rod only as per match/pleasure lake rules, with barbless hooks mandatory.

Lindholme Lakes Country Park
A former trout lake and completely unspoilt match venue, Beeches is matured with reed beds and trees offering a unique character unlike typical commercial fisheries. Situated in the top right-hand corner of the site, this 4-acre water features two small arms plus a main bowl section, ensuring every peg offers different fishing opportunities. The lake varies in depth between 4 feet and 6 feet throughout, with 37 well-spaced pegs providing over 16 metres between each angler. The natural features including reeds, trees and varying depths make this an interesting and challenging water that rewards tactical thinking and adapting to conditions. The fish in Beeches are notoriously hard fighting, particularly when hooked in the margins near reed cover, so heavy pole gear and quick reactions are essential to land them successfully.

Lindholme Lakes Country Park
If non-stop action and constant bites are what you're after, then Bennys Lake delivers in spectacular fashion as Lindholme's mega match venue and most recently developed water. This impressive 8.5-acre lake was formerly a specimen carp lake and then a trout fishery, but in 2014 it was opened up and transformed into an incredible match venue that has quickly established itself as a favorite among pleasure anglers and match competitors alike. Bennys has been primarily stocked with a huge number of F1 carp which average between 4 ounces and 8 ounces, running up to over 2lb, providing the kind of hectic sport where catches of 200 to 400 fish in a single session during summer months are entirely realistic. The lake features 60 well-maintained pegs with depths ranging from 4 to 8 feet just a few metres from the bank, increasing to around 10 to 12 feet of water in the middle sections. This water is particularly suited to pleasure fishing and is absolutely perfect for beginners, children, and anyone wanting to build confidence and improve their skills in an environment where bites are almost guaranteed. The current lake record stands at an incredible 427lb set by Andy Bennett from peg 28, demonstrating the sheer quantity of fish present.
