About

Raygill Lakes is a family-run countryside estate set in Lothersdale near Keighley, West Yorkshire. Originally a limestone quarry, the site was purchased by the Clement family in 1987 and landscaped into three spring-fed lakes. The fishery comprises two coarse lakes and one dedicated fly fishing lake, all fed by limestone spring water renowned for producing fish in excellent condition. The coarse lakes hold a mixed head of coarse fish alongside pike, while the fly fishing lake is stocked with trout. Anglers fish from designated swims and, on the fly lake, from marked casting areas only, with wading not permitted. The venue closes at dusk and night fishing is not allowed on any water. Beyond the fishing, Raygill offers a lakeside cafe and bar open on weekends and Friday evenings, a country clothing and boots shop stocking brands including Meindl, Aigle and Alt-berg, and two lakeside stay options - The Hideaway log cabin and The Horsebox - both overlooking the large coarse lake. Free parking is provided for customers, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome throughout the site.
