Rising Sun Fisheries is a well-established venue near the village of Aldwark, North Yorkshire, set in quiet countryside between the A59 and A19. Founded in 1999, with two smaller match lakes added in 2006, the fishery is fully fenced against predators across all three waters. Lake One is the specimen lake, carrying mirror carp to 36lb 7oz alongside over twenty 20lb fish and 350 further carp from 6lb to 19lb. The lake also holds a strong head of perch to 5lb 6oz — a size that attracts dedicated perch anglers through the winter months — plus bream, roach, rudd, chub, crucian carp and tench, many to specimen weight. Lakes Two and Three are the smaller pleasure and match waters, stocked with common and mirror carp to 12lb, ide, chub, perch to 3lb, tench to 3lb, crucian carp and roach. Both lakes are available for day ticket fishing and are suited to club bookings by prior arrangement. Night fishing is available on Lake One only, bookable in advance by telephone with pre-payment required via PayPal. The fishery operates Monday to Friday 9am–5pm for telephone bookings, with gates open from 7am to 7pm daily, later by prior arrangement.
