About

Stickney Brick Pit is a private exclusive carp and predator fishing venue nestled in the Lincolnshire countryside near the village of Stickney, offering some of the best old school carp fishing in the UK. Hand dug over 150 years ago for clay extraction, this historic 4-acre lake within 6 acres of land has evolved into a premier destination for experienced anglers seeking a mature, specimen-focused fishing experience away from commercial fisheries. The lake is otter fenced, gated, and securely locked, ensuring a private and tranquil environment exclusively for members and exclusive booking guests. The lake is home to around 125 carp comprising a mix of 46+ year old Leney style carp and hand picked Leney Dink crosses, alongside a handful of fast growing strains. A good head of double figure Pike with the largest at 24lb, specimen Tench, Perch to 3lb+, Eels to 5lb 8oz (historically reported to have held the UK record), Bream, Spined Loach, Roach and Rudd are also present. The lake is full of features including shallow plateaus, sudden drop offs and depths exceeding 30ft, with tall reeds, bushes and old trees providing natural shelter and minimal light pollution for stunning star-filled nights. On-site facilities include a toilet, 2 aluminium fire pits, a large BBQ on wheels, a baiting pole, aqua scope, pleasure rods and equipment in a shed for guest use, and water available at the house. The lake operates a structured feeding programme with two tons of maize and pellet introduced annually, and anglers are encouraged to match this with pre-ordered bait from the fishery. Local takeaways deliver to the lake and a village shop, cafe, chip shop and garage are all within minutes. You can drive around most of the lake and park behind or near most pegs.
