About
Wergs Hall Fisheries is a well-established coarse fishery located on the outskirts of Wolverhampton in the Staffordshire countryside. The venue spans 12 acres and features a mature 3-acre lake that was excavated in 1980, offering 14 pegs with convenient parking close by. Pegs 5, 13 and 14 are double pegs suitable for fishing with a friend, and several pegs offer direct car access for those with mobility requirements. The lake has a gravel and clay bottom with depths ranging from two to eight feet. Stock includes a healthy population of carp with fish currently reaching the mid-twenties and potential thirties growing through, along with pike to 20lb+ available for winter fishing. Bream, tench, roach and perch provide excellent mixed fishing opportunities throughout the season. On-site facilities include the Lakeside Cafe serving freshly prepared food and drinks, toilet and shower facilities, and ample parking. The fishery operates on a catch and release basis with barbless or micro barbed hooks required, and all anglers must use unhooking mats. Day tickets are available and camping is permitted for those wanting to extend their session.
