About
Yellowstone Carp Lake is a stunning 20-acre specimen water set within 32 acres of mature woodland in the Perigord Limousin Natural Regional Park, Champniers-et-Reilhac, southwest France. The lake stretches over half a mile in length, varies from 70 to 120 yards in width, and carries depths ranging from 3 to 12 feet. Dating back over 400 years, it is an established and characterful venue accessible from the UK via St Malo or Caen ferry ports, approximately a five-hour drive away. The lake is run exclusively, accommodating a maximum of eight anglers across 12 carefully positioned swims, giving each angler a generous and private plot. Carp to 65lb have been recorded from the water. Bait is strictly controlled on-site, with lake pellets and particle mix available to purchase on arrival at €30 per bucket. Freezer boilies are permitted; shelf life boilies are not. All rigs must be fished with leadless leaders, safe zone leaders or tubing — naked rigs are not permitted. Bait boats are allowed; 360 rigs and fixed leads are banned. The venue benefits from a well-maintained anglers lodge with a fully equipped kitchen including a hob and air fryer, along with an undercover outdoor eating area and BBQ. A dedicated wash block provides two toilets and two showers. Optional food packages are available, including a breakfast and evening meal package at €200 per angler, or breakfast only at €80 per angler, with home-cooked English food served in the evenings and breakfast delivered directly to your swim. Sessions run Saturday to Saturday, with arrival from 12 noon and departure before 10am.
