Wallace, established in 2016, offers an exciting mix of species including small Mirror Carp, Ide, Skimmers, Roach, and Perch, plus the occasional big Carp pushing 16lbs. It’s open for pleasure fishing Wednesday to Sunday, including bank holidays, and shares the same schedule as Queensberry and Bruce’s Acre. Before visiting Queensberry, check for match closures here. Wallace once held the Scottish match record with a 128lb 6oz haul by Ian Whitson from Motherwell. That title now belongs to Queensberry, where Rob Swan from Cumbria set a new benchmark at 135lb 10oz.
