About
Lindholme's showcase water and most popular lake for competition angling, Bonsai underwent a full makeover in 2022 and now represents the pinnacle of commercial match fishing. Visitors pass this impressive 4.5-acre water as they enter the fishery, immediately seeing why it hosts major events and attracts anglers from across the country. The lake features 85 exceptionally well-maintained pegs across its three acres, with an incredible 90% of these pegs having an island feature to fish to at distances ranging between 13 metres and 30 metres away, ensuring every single peg offers different tactical options. Depths vary considerably from 3 feet in the shallower areas up to 10 feet in the deeper sections, providing year-round fishing opportunities as fish move between different depth zones according to conditions and seasons. This is where the current venue record of 321lb 8oz was set by Andy Bennett in July 2014 from peg 24, demonstrating the incredible potential this water holds for specimen weights.

Favoured Pegs
Pegs 69 and 70 on the point are regarded as the most consistent on the lake, as they have a wide bay to fish into. This is home to a good shoal of proper mirror and common carp. Also pegs 75-78 are very good, as they have a reedy island to fish up to in pole range. Pegs 27 and 28 are noted for proper carp too, on the long pole or bomb towards the island point. Pegs in the 60s are generally favoured too. Pegs 35 to 37 can be solid fishing long pole to the island. In the winter months you'll find plenty of bites on the area 44-56 with its deep water.
