About
Ribbon Lake is one of Partridge Lakes’ most accessible and established waters, designed to accommodate anglers of all levels. With 20 wide, wheelchair-friendly pegs and Blue Badge Holder parking directly adjacent to the lake, it provides a welcoming and inclusive environment. Conveniently located near the café, bait and tackle shop, office, and accessible toilets, Ribbon offers both comfort and practicality for a full day’s fishing. This is the only dog-friendly lake on the complex, allowing well-behaved, leashed dogs to accompany their owners under a clear set of rules to ensure a safe and respectful experience for all visitors. The lake’s layout features a 7ft depth with 11 metres across to the island, making it perfect for pole fishing. Pegs 2 to 8 are especially productive, and the lake is well suited to small club matches. Ribbon is stocked with Commons, Mirrors, F1s, Ide, and Golden Tench up to 12lbs. Effective methods include shallow fishing to island cover in summer, pellet and caster in the mud holes, or maggot and corn in deeper water during winter. Notably, it was the winning lake in the 2015 Fish ‘O’ Mania Qualifier where Connor Barlow landed over 154lbs on caster from peg 8, demonstrating Ribbon’s consistent performance and appeal.
