About

Tweed is a peaceful and secluded day ticket lake positioned at the top end of the Partridge Lakes complex, offering a tranquil setting for anglers seeking a quieter experience. With 15 well-spaced pegs and easy access to nearby parking, it’s ideal for those looking to enjoy a relaxed day’s fishing in the Cheshire countryside. The lake features a distinctive doughnut-shaped layout with a small central island approximately 11 metres across, creating perfect conditions for pole fishing. Depths range from 2ft in the margins to 7ft at its deepest, with a consistent slope down to 6ft in open water. These features, combined with the calm surroundings, make Tweed particularly popular with pleasure anglers. Tweed is stocked with a wide variety of species, including F1 Carp, Ghost Carp, Mirror Carp, Common Carp, Roach, Rudd, Bream, and Perch, with fish reaching up to 9lbs. Effective methods include soft pellets and micro feed for Carp, while maggots consistently produce results for silverfish. Fishing across to the island with pellets, maggots, or sweetcorn often delivers great returns, making Tweed a rewarding venue all year round.
