Angel Lakes offers three diverse mixed coarse fisheries in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, catering to anglers from beginners through to experienced match competitors. Tactics & Tips

Effective methods include pole, waggler, pellet waggler, swimfeeder, and straight lead. Method feeders, hybrids, banjos, and pellet feeders are permitted with minimum 4-inch hooklengths. Top hook baits are pellet, paste, maggot, caster, worm, and sweetcorn. Angel Feed Pellets must be used exclusively for loose feed. Barbless hooks only, size 12 maximum to 18 minimum. Minimum 8lb mainline on Bowes and Lookout, 4lb on Bassetts. All ledger and feeder rigs must be free running - no fixed rigs. No braid, no zig rigs, no floating pole. No Jigga floats permitted. Pole rigs require correctly shotted floats with 4-6 inch hooklengths.
