Billingford Lakes & Country Park provides picturesque fishing in the heart of Norfolk across 11 well-stocked lakes and a one-mile stretch of the dynamic River Wensum, set within 150 acres of beautiful countryside. With over 100 pegs available and parking directly next to swims, the venue offers exceptional accessibility for anglers of all abilities. The main carp lakes include Billingford Lake, Great Lake, John Wilson Lake, and Cygnet Lake, holding prolific stocks of Common and Mirror Carp in the 20-30lb bracket with multiple 35lb+ specimens present. The venue record stands at an impressive 40.5lb Mirror Carp caught in June 2016. Most carp have never been caught, providing genuine challenges for specimen hunters. The Basil Todd Lake serves as the primary match venue with 26 jetty platforms including 5 doubles, stocked with Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Crucian Carp, Perch, and carp to 10lb. Open daily from 7am-7pm with 24-hour fishing available, the fishery features an onsite Lakeside Café serving breakfast, burgers, and refreshments from 9am-4pm, plus a well-stocked tackle shop. Additional facilities include toilet and shower blocks, camping and caravan areas, three nature walks, a children's play area, and outdoor gym. Coaching is available from experienced match angler Mark Murdoch, and the venue offers private lake hire for competitions. The site also features photography hides, kids fishing tuition for Angling Trust awards, and hosts various outdoor events making it a complete country park destination.
