About
Greenhill Lakes is a mature 2.5 acre specimen carp and mixed coarse water nestled in peaceful surroundings on an organic farm in central Scotland. The lake formed from an abandoned mineshaft over 25 years ago and features depths up to 15ft with a varied lake bed of gravel, silt and sand. The margins are beautifully lined with reeds, trees and flowers, set against a sprawling backdrop of open meadows and mature woodland where horses and goats roam freely. The stock comprises Common Carp descended from fingerlings introduced 24 years ago, with the original survivors now reaching weights of 20lb and beyond. A fresh stocking of Mirror and Common Carp was added in January 2025, bringing new blood to this seldom-fished water. The lake also holds Bream, Perch, Roach and hybrids for those wanting to target mixed species. With many fish yet to grace the bank for a catch shot, sessions here offer genuine excitement for carp anglers seeking unspoilt fishing. The single social peg accommodates up to 3 anglers and includes a Glamping Pod with electric socket, USB charging, heater and lighting. All landing nets, unhooking mats and weigh slings are provided, and there is a fire pit for evening sessions. Stalking is permitted during daylight hours while night fishing takes place from the secured peg. Toilet and shower facilities are a short walk away, and bait boat hire is available on site. Each 24-hour exclusive booking runs from 10am to 10am, giving you the entire lake to yourself.
