About
Homersfield Lake is a stunning 35-acre specimen fishing venue set within 70 acres of private, landscaped grounds in the picturesque Waveney Valley. Regarded as one of the UK's finest specimen lakes, this historic fishery has been family-owned since 1978 and boasts an exceptional heritage dating back to the development of modern carp fishing. The lake holds an impressive head of carp ranging from 10lbs to nearly 60lbs, with the current lake record standing at 57lbs. The fishery is renowned for producing some of the finest roach fishing in the UK, with six different 4lbs+ roach caught over the years and regular specimens over 3lbs. Wels catfish over 100lbs patrol the depths alongside tench over 13lbs, bream over 15lbs, and specimen perch. Set around 29 carefully positioned swims, the spring-fed lake features six picturesque islands, reed-lined bays, open water expanses, rich weed beds, submerged bars and varied depths. The venue operates on an exclusive membership basis with limited full and winter memberships available. Non-members can access this exceptional fishery by staying in the on-site accommodation - Kingfisher Lodge or Five Islands House - both offering stunning lake views and the opportunity to fish during your stay.
