Taswood Lakes is a premier Norfolk carp and coarse fishing destination situated 5 miles south of Norwich in the picturesque Tas Valley, Flordon. The complex comprises 8 expertly managed lakes beside the River Tas, offering exceptional fishing across 5 carp lakes and 3 coarse lakes, making it one of the best fishing venues available on a day ticket in the region. The fishery is perfectly positioned just 10 minutes from Norwich city, with easy access to the Norfolk Broads and Norfolk coast. The carp lakes include Spring (runs water with fish to just over 20lb), Grove (4 acres, fish 15-30lb+), Heron (7 acres, lake record 38lb 12oz), Broadwing (members/lodge guests only, 90 fish averaging 27lb with specimens over 40lb), and Kingfisher (exclusive hire 0.5-acre lake with 50+ fish to mid-20s). The coarse lakes - Grebe (20 swims), Lapwing (tench, chub, barbel, crucians, grass carp), and Osprey (specimen lake with large bream, tench, crucians) - provide excellent mixed fishing. Catches exceeding 100lb are regularly recorded across the coarse lakes. Facilities include 4 stunning luxury lakeside lodges (Osprey, Kingfisher, Bittern, Lapwing) with private swims, fully equipped kitchens, modern bathrooms, and private BBQs. Tactics & Tips
Barbless hooks only, no crushed barbs. Maximum 2 rods per angler. No fixed bolt rigs - all leads and beads must be releasable. No leadcore or alternatives (safezone leaders and tubing allowed). Method feeders permitted on coarse lakes and Spring only (not on Broadwing, Heron, Grove). No braided mainline except on marker/spod rods. Particle baits banned except loose fed sweetcorn, maize, hemp, wheat, carp pellets in moderation (no nuts or peas). Minimum 42 inch landing nets required on Heron, Broadwing, Grove. No carp sacks or keepnets allowed. All nets, weighslings, mats must be dipped in tanks. Fish must be held close to ground/mat for photos, returned in sling or mat. Bait boats allowed. Bivvies only, no tents or gazebos. Rods must not be left unattended (no more than 1 swim away). Pre-booking essential for carp lakes.
